Kilts and a Lecture

Kilts

The girls just received these kilts and blouses in the mail from their Grandmother who has recently returned from a trip to London. E’s is a Black Watch plaid and R’s is MacLeod (no, that is not the tartan for either side of the family as far as I know, but it sure is pretty). (Does anyone know if there is a right way or a wrong way to attach a kilt pin?) They had an opportunity to wear them yesterday to go hear Herb Titus speak at the law school. We were in a hurry to get out the door when I took this since it was pouring rain outside, and I wanted to get a parking place close to the door (hence the blurriness).

The lecture was excellent. This was the first time I had ever heard Herb Titus speak, and I was very impressed with his faith and his zeal for God, Knowledge and Truth. It’s encouraging to hear men like him speak who have stood firm for Christ even when it is so difficult. I hope that the law school will produce many more men and women like him to go out into the world and further God’s Kingdom.

$6,667,000 Verdict Won

Oct 21 019M won an almost 7 million dollar verdict today for his client against an insurance company who refused to pay after a business lost their building in a fire. The trial lasted about 3 1/2 hours while M just blasted the other side left and right. He and his co-counsel will split one third of the judgement with eachother which will bring in over $1,100,000 for this one case.

Too bad it was just a mock trial. I wonder if $6,667,000 at least equals out to an ‘A’ for the assignment.

Foggy Morning II

Foggy Morning 04

I spent a little time editing out all of the power lines in my fog pictures with Photoshop’s nifty little editing tools. You can see them all on my Flickr account (click on the picture above).

(Now, before anyone gets too judgemental about the quality of my photos, just remember that first, I do not claim to be a photographer by any means, and second, all of my pictures are taken with a crappy little Nikon Coolpix 4100.)
